President of Bass Engineering Honored with NACE R.A. Brannon Award

Clay Brelsford’s decades of leadership have “culminated in the betterment of the association.”

March 13th, 2013 – Bass Engineering Company, “The Reliable Name in Cathodic Protection” for over forty years, is proud to announce that President Clay Brelsford has been awarded the prestigious NACE R.A. Brannon Award this year.

Clay BrelsfordThe R.A. Brannon Award is the signature award of the association. It recognizes a current member of NACE International whose outstanding service has contributed to the development and improvement of the association that results in promotion of the objectives of NACE.

Clay Brelsford has been an active and valuable member of NACE since 1980. He has held various leadership positions at the section level and the board level, including: East Texas Section trustee (1984-1990), chairman of the South Central Region (1991-1992), NACE Board of Directors (1996-1999), NACE instructor since 2003, NACE Foundation Board of Directors (2006-present), and a myriad of other positions in different committees through his years with the association.

When NACE worked to restructure the region boundaries to current membership areas to better represent international growth, Mr. Brelsford was instrumental in the process. His leadership style of maintaining a fair, objective, and professional attitude in this reorganization was instrumental in the effort to help shape the face of NACE today.

Through the years, Mr. Brelsford’s involvement with NACE has culminated in the betterment of the association, and his acknowledgment as the 2013 Brannon Award recipient further maintains the high standards associated with the award’s prestigious history.

Bass Engineering Acquires Corrosion Technical Services LLC

Additional Geographical Expansion of Cathodic Protection Services and Industry Expertise

LONGVIEW, TX; January 22, 2013 – Bass Engineering Company, “The Reliable Name in Cathodic Protection” for over forty years, has acquired Corrosion Technical Services LLC (CTS) of Baton Rouge, LA.  CTS customers will receive services without disruption and with the benefit of support from Bass Engineering.   Founded by Mark Jarreau in 1991, CTS provides cathodic protection services in Louisiana, Texas, Alabama and Mississippi.  Mark will continue to serve existing clients and manage Southeastern regional operations for Bass Engineering.

Bass EngineeringWith this acquisition, Bass Engineering continues its geographic expansion and adds additional proven, expert resources.  Bass services include technical expertise for the design, installation, and maintenance of all types of CP systems, as well as induced AC mitigation systems, cathodic protection material sales and corrosion failure analysis.  The company provides a complete catalog of CP materials, including electrical parts, anodes, remote monitoring hardware and more via online store.

Bass Engineering Company Breaks Ground for Fort Worth Regional Office

New location Will Provide Superior CP Services & Materials to High-Growth Area

LONGVIEW, TX; January 25, 2012 – Bass Engineering Company, 'The Reliable Name in Cathodic Protection' for over forty years, has broken ground for their Fort Worth area office facility. Like the home office in Longview, the Fort Worth regional staff will offer a variety of cathodic protection (CP) services. These include technical expertise for the design, installation, and maintenance of all types of CP systems, as well as induced AC mitigation systems, cathodic protection material sales and corrosion failure analysis.

Cathodic protection technicians Jarret Brelsford and Colt Cameron will manage the Fort Worth region from their office located at the Cresson Crossroads Industrial Park in Cresson, Texas. Both hold Associate of Applied Science degrees in Corrosion Technology from Kilgore College and have achieved CP Level II certification through NACE International.

“We are both very excited to bring Bass Engineering into the Dallas/Fort Worth area to better serve our current and new customers,” said Brelsford. “Bass has established and carefully maintained an excellent reputation in cathodic protection, and we look forward to bringing that to the rapidly-growing Barnett region,” added Cameron.
